Scott’s advanced carbon molding process is at the core of the Addict RC’s new HMX-SL carbon build. This carbon is thinner and 8.5 percent lighter than the already lightweight HMX. By creating a fully hollow frame with optimal compaction and no voids or wrinkles, Scott has minimized unnecessary reinforcements and maximized material efficiency. The result is a frame with 0.6mm thick walls in targeted areas. This cuts weight where possible and maintains durability where needed. This meticulous engineering extends to the Syncros SP-R100-SL seatpost, which is 10 percent lighter than the previous model and offers improved comfort.
A new geometry has been dialed in to maintain comfort on long rides while staying fast and agile on turns. This new frame includes clearance for 34mm tires.
